Two eyes meet.
I think he's handsome, sweet, and his beautiful eyes stare deeply into my trembling heart.
He thinks I'm pretty, stylish, have good manners and certain charisma.
I see some qualities in him that I have always wanted from a guy, but without the chemistry.
He sees some qualities in me that he doesn't find in the girl he loves.
I feel our backgrounds are totally different.
He feels I'm too high to be reached.
And so it ends without us saying a word.
Only two eyes delivering the message of our brief feelings.
A brief second of my life that I will always treasure.
When we meet again, we'll be friends :)

Mango is one of my favorite clothing stores in Jakarta right now. Too bad they don't have it in USA. I think it's more stylish than M)Phosis.
Anybody knows of good, stylish, and not so expensive clothing stores like Mango in Jakarta?

From a local cigarette ad:
"Getting old is a certainty. Being mature is a choice."
By Art Clanin:
"Misfortune and suffering are inevitable. To grieve is a choice."
I said:
"Being born is a blessing. Living life is a choice."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DIANA!
May your heart and deeds always be the very image of God's love and kindness.
from your second family who love you

I have several thoughts that I'd like to share with you.

First of all, due to the slow internet connection and not-so-bright light in my computer room, I will write less often. Not that I have written often anyway lately. But I have undergone several changes in my life that I need to adjust to, change my habits and daily activities, and shift my interests.
I have acquired a private journal/diary that I'm not going to share with the world. All these times, I have never really written about myself much. It's because it's much too private to share with just anyone, and too deep to just throw it in anyone's eyes. It involves a lot of psychological, philosophical, and, above everything, religious aspects of my daily life, which I wouldn't want anybody I do not know of personally to misjudge. Humans are full of prejudice, you see.

So anyway, I will still write in this very journal, but the content will incline to a more general concept. I don't know how many friends and strangers exactly who read my journal, but I do feel uneasy in the end. Because I know I won't be able to write about several people who read this journal ^_~
Basically: this journal is for general news and updates (you know, in a journal method). And the other one is for personal thoughts, opinions, and private happenings (more like a diary).

Moving to a different perspective.
My future is very unpredictable. I cannot plan anything. I only have faith that God will make a way.
I plan on shifting direction about my graduate study. Instead of interior design, I'm more inclined to pursuing a degree in psychology. I have had that thought in my mind for a long time, but haven't had the chance to make it a realization. After all, it's so hard to get a master's degree in psychology without previously majoring in psychology. Anyway, I will still do a lot of research on the subject. Maybe I'll find a university that will accept me just the way I am (whatever that means).

Oh! Continuing from the last entry about my activity in Indonesia, here goes (in a shortened, technical, and uninteresting method):

Oct 15, 2002
Had a little high school reunion with Karina (Ontan's girlfriend) and Nana. We went to Plaza Indonesia, mostly to chat, have dinner, and walk around a bit.

Oct 17-18, 2002
Went to Anyer Beach to join the very few Inner Healing recollection team. The good thing: we stayed in a suite at Sol Elite Marbella hotel for free =)

Oct 18-20, 2002
From Anyer, we went straight to Bali (by plane, of course). Bali is waaaay less crowded after the Oct 12 incident. But since we stayed at our family's villa in Tegallalang, near Ubud (about 1.5 hours north from Kuta Beach), we couldn't really feel the silence. The purpose of going there was to attend the consecration of the statue of Mary, the Queen of Rosary. It is the foundation of a retreat house soon to be built there, called Bukit Doa. We didn't go there for a vacation or having fun, except for having good food =9

Oct 24-25, 2002
Catherine, an Indonesian friend of mine from Calif., slept over at my place. She's a fellow Catholic youth member in where I live (Southern California), who went to Indonesia for vacation. We decided to hang out together while we're here. Since she also likes manga (Japanese comics), the main purpose of her staying over at my place was to read my collection of manga. Oh, we bought a lot of manga at Roxy Mas the next day :)

Oct 26, 2002
My highschool friend Yani's wedding (with her 6-year boyfriend, Prake). Congratulations!

Oct 31-Nov 1, 2002
As soon as I woke up, my mom told me that we were to go to Singapore later that evening. I had had a plan (since a few days before, actually) to have a haircut at Luvase, meaning I had to postpone it again. On the afternoon, I and my mom went to Pondok Indah Mall. Feeling that my hair was already a bit messy, I wanted so bad as to have a haircut at Irwan's Salon (where I usually went before flying to the USA for college). Unfortunately, Irwan (the owner) had his day off that day, so I had my hair cut by another person (whom I didn't know of). And of course... being a picky person that I always am and having just anybody cutting my hair without proven ability, my hair turned out VERY bad! I had my hair fixed before I went home, and that left me with a very short hair in a totally messed up style. I was so angry, but couldn't do anything because it obviously was my own mistake of being very impatient. I could have waited until Saturday or Monday to have my hair cut at Luvase, the originally intended place.

But anyway, we then flew to Singapore for business purpose. Went back the next day. Had the chance to taste Singaporean food at the airport before flying back home. Not bad of a trip.

Nov 4, 2002
I slept over at Tanah Abang (my second family's house) the previous night. Diana's hairdresser was asked to come to the house to fix my hair, because the previous style was very bad (obviously the proven unability of the hairdresser). Well, at least it looks better now, although the style is totally different than what I have always liked for the last 1.5 years. It's currently like Halle Berry's style, but a bit longer.

My dad had an Inguinal Hernia surgery at Medistra hospital. Although local anesthesia was enough to perform the surgery, he chose to have general anesthesia (that is way more dangerous) because he was afraid of surgery. His resistance to pain is very low. It wasn't a big surgery, and it went well. However, he stayed at the hospital until Sunday (Nov 10) for recovery purpose.
