I just got my new car, 1995 BMW 318 is (coupe) :D It's second-hand though (I bought it from Laurent's friend), so it's not expensive. Actually I paid less than the actual value of the car =P I was just lucky, I guess *grins*
But most importantly, I need to readjust my driving technique, because I haven't driven a single car in 4 years. Actually I didn't want to buy any car, but it's a must in California. I can't go anywhere without a car; one place is far from each other. Furthermore, there are a lot of things that would need money (a lot): insurance, tax, maintenance, parts, etc. I hate wasting more and more money. Oh well.. *shrugs* I need a job ASAP *_*

My ever fearful chronic pharyngitis (inflammation of the pharynx) has attacked again at the same time as my monthly period. What a perfect combination! ¬_¬ I've been terribly tired this past month, perhaps that's why... I'm at Laurent's apartment at the moment.. he's still sleeping soundly & I can't go back to sleep cause my chest is hurting. My stuff from Pennsylvania will come later today (totalling 52 boxes & 3200 pounds -_-) and I have to drag them one by one to the storage (and yes, they're -very- heavy! O_O). I'm not sure if I can exercise much today.... *sighs*

On to a happier note. Since YaoiCon has allowed at-the-door registration, I might come to SF for the convention. So I'll probably be there for only 2-3 days, Melisa. Don't forget to email me your phone number, kay?

My mom will fly back to Indonesia tonight *sniffs* ;_; She's going back with my second parents and two other women. My boyfriend (the name is Laurent) and I will drive her to the airport and will stay until midnight there... enjoying the time together for the last time. It's going to be merry ^^v .... and sad ._. As for my dad, he had gone back to Indonesia on Wednesday. Mwahhh.. I will greatly miss them very soon x_x But at least I'm not alone in California... *smiles*

I changed the blog's time setting to PST -- 3 hours behind EST (my usual setting). Just wanted to keep everyone updated. I've officially graduated! *throws confetti* :D
The commencement was on August 4th, last Saturday. It was quite fun, although I wasn't -that- excited. Another Indonesian friend of mine, Edgar, also graduated that day & we (my family & his) had a dinner celebration that evening, inviting all the Indonesian at Penn State... 22 people in total with the families & friends.

A major decision of my life has been made: I will be moving to California for good. The city is Irvine, to be exact, about 45 minutes south of Los Angeles. I already got the place to live: a married couple in Irvine has many spare rooms, because their children have already left the house and lived on their own. I also have gotten the tickets incredibly cheap (via Expedia Bargain Fare). So! My stuff will be sent to California by Parcel Plus this Thursday and I will be flying there on Friday. Rather sudden? Yes, my life is full of surprises ^^v In fact, my apartment is still in a lot of mess and I still need to pack a lot. But I'm awaiting someone at the moment... ^_~ So I'll resume the packing later tonight... or early tomorrow morning.

Well, here I am :D I and Bayu arrived yesterday in zombie mode: only had very little amount of restless sleep the night before on the 5-hour flight, sleeping position was very uncomfortable & I kept moving around all the time due to the limited space, the plane's air conditioner was too hot on my cabin, connecting plane got cancelled, and had to wait for a total of 5 hours from the first flight to the next connecting flight -_- I was basically sleeping while standing/walking on campus to finish off some errands. And finally collapsed to bed at 5 PM. I just woke up an hour ago *nods*

LA was really fun! There actually was a Catholic retreat/recollection (open for everyone & any religion, if one wants to come) in LA & I was helping with the whole event for two full days. The preparation was very time-consuming and tiring, but I'm so happy that the event was of a great success ^^v Not to mention that I met a lot of Indonesian people there, and the retreat team from Indonesia (included my mom, my second parents, and a couple more people I've already known/very familiar of). I and Bayu were also part of the team. My second parents were the leaders of the team and they gave the lessons, etc with my mom.

I and Bayu will be driving to New York (where my mom & my second parents are at the moment) this morning, after finishing some tasks at home. I will be back here again tomorrow night. Commencement is right in front of my eyes & I haven't prepared much o_O; I've just bought the cap & gown yesterday and I still have to do my OPT (Optional Practical Training) application to be able to work after school. I'll hopefully finish the application today, after I meet my academic adviser.

Melisa, I didn't have time to go to SF while I was in LA. I only had very limited time & it wasn't even enough. Soal nitip... nanti gue pikirin dulu ya, masih sebulan lagi kan.. Thanks yah ^^v And yes, the Alexa who came here before is the same Alexa who owns cherrycoma.net, Untitled webring, etc. Email her next week (after she goes back to Germany) and ask her about it.

Speaking of Alexa, I see that you have met Kate. I'll probably call you tomorrow or the next day. Can't wait to hear the story :3 Oh ya, Bayu has sent the CDs and camera to your cousin's place yesterday. It should arrive before you head back to Germany. Hopefully. Sorry about the lateness.
