Quote of the day: "This song *points above* is dedicated for me; from everyone who knows me" by Kara's older sister, Ivi (said last Saturday, April 14th when we were cooking at Kara's house)
Elyse: uh... oookay.... *then bursted out laughing with Kara and Aldo* XD
Dican, the dorms only provide "raw" furniture. So for the bed, there is only a mattress, without anything on top -- no linens & covers/cases, no pillows, nothing on it. That's why I can't stand dorms.. and fled after 1 year having been tortured in a dorm >_< Now about bolster, American bolster is totally different than the one we Indonesians usually have, ya know? It's not the round one, but rather a long pillow (rectangle). So I recommend you bring your own. I believe a new bolster is still very small -- still in the vacuumed plastic, so it should fit without any problem in your travelbag. Or if you want to bring your old/used one, then vacuum it into a plastic so that the size is much smaller. That's what I did ^^
But yeah, like
Elisha said, you can always go to
Wal Mart or
Target if you still need things. Both are quite close from campus (Penn State is such a small town) and their stuff are relatively cheap. Alternatively, you can go to
Nittany Mall (10 minutes driving from center of campus), of which is not quite a -mall- in my opinion, but at least there are department stores such as
Sears,
JC Penney,
Kaufmann's, and
Bonton, along with regular retail stores (my favorites being
Bath & Body Works and
Victoria's Secret).
Of course, dorm food -always- sucks o_O But if you live at the west halls, the dining common there has the most okay food than any other halls. How many unasked questions of yours have I covered now? ^^
