Last night was the most hellish night of my almost 4 years living in State College ¬_¬ But I refuse to talk about it in detail. Believe me, you DON'T want to know! Ask Alexa if you don't believe me >_> But let me tell you something: one guy was totally drunk & busted from drinking too much at the club and then was forced to drink 4 or 5 (or perhaps more) shots of Absolut Mandrin vodka in my apartment! (not only I blamed him for drinking much more than he could handle, but also the other guys for persistently and forcefully giving him the shots ¬_¬). So you know the idea: I and the other 3 guys spent the next 3-4 hours or so taking care of him and cleaning the whole apartment O_O!!!! Really, I couldn't get angry anymore. I felt like exploding, but I couldn't quite bring myself to. But we were shouting at him the whole time... gah, thank God people hadn't been back yet from their spring break holiday. If it had happened in any regular weekend, we would've gotten complaints and such.
The epilogue: I ended up sleeping at 6.30 AM or so, and I haven't done a single homework/studying until now O_O *is now terribly scared*
But the good thing is, I finally talked to my dear
Alexa XD I'm so happy! I wonder if you knew how much I missed you. After all, we hadn't talked for more than 3 weeks ._. (I just checked my ICQ history.. last time we talked was Feb 16). Next time it happens again, we'd better start emailing each other ^^; But hey, I have to agree with you in one thing: his name -is- sexy XD
As for New York, daaaaaaisukiii!! :D :D I really really love New York this time! I never loved the city as much as I do now *_*
Well, you might wonder what I did there that results to my loving it so much. And to my own surprise, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary: pretty much just shopping (a lot =P), walking, enjoying the atmosphere, hanging out in cafes, eating (of course! State College food just simply sucks ¬_¬), taking pictures (my ultimate pleasure :3)... But it was snowing almost the whole time when I was there (except for the day of arrival and the day of departure -_- Now, really, why did it happen in spring break? It was supposed to be springy, not snowy! ._.)
I love talking about my travelling, so I must warn you: feel free to skip the next part as you might get bored ^^; The purpose of this blog is not to entertain people, but as a personal journal as well as a tool to let friends know how I am and what I'm up to, especially since I can't talk to them in a daily basis.
My hotel is in the middle of the Theater District in Manhattan -- between 45th St and 8th Ave. It's a close walk to Times Square and Broadway theaters. Basically it was fairly easy to find food and entertainment. Although I've been to New York a couple of times before, I had never been there for more than a day with a lot of friends. I had always gone there with my family; or if with friend(s), we didn't stay overnight. We had always left at the same day. Therefore, even though it was quite difficult to compromise what everybody wanted, it was really fun. Empire State Building was the first place we went to -- it was really windy up there, I had to hold my hat tightly. Too bad it was foggy, the visibility distance was only 5 miles. I have a friend who works at JP Morgan in Manhattan (I had mentioned about it previously when I blogged from New York), so I stayed over at his place for the first night. His apartment is considered the best apartment complex (in my opinion) in Jersey City, located in front of Hudson River facing the lower west side of Manhattan. I could see World Trade Center from there ^^ Eric (my friend) picked me up at the hotel, and the other guys decided to go with us to have supper in Chinatown before we parted. I loved the bubble tea (I ordered 3 cups of bubble tea XD It was verrrrryyy good! And the cuttle fish ball was sooo good I ordered 3 plates!! But I guess it was just my appetite XD).
The next day (Sunday):
Soho! I believe the 3 guys (including Eric) who accompanied me shopping had the worst time ever in New York, because I spent 5-6 hours shopping and they (being a gentleman) carried all my shopping bags! XD I felt like a princess (BWAHAHAHAHA XD XD XD). Err.. I guess a princess doesn't laugh that loudly... ?? Nevermind then ^^;
But I love what I got:
Anna Sui dress, skirt & cowskin jacket (and all of them were on sale!);
A|X pants, skirt & blouse; Via Spiga boots;
French Connection pants; and Joseph pants. Why so many pants, you ask? Well... I've gained weight since summer 2000 ;_; And so 6 of my old pants can't fit anymore ;_; My pants size changes from 0-2 to 4-6! Can you believe that? *_*
While we were shopping, the rest of the group went to see Statue of Liberty and World Trade Center. Of course, shopping was more important for me than tourist spots :3 After all, I've been to the Statue of Liberty with my family before, so I didn't want to go there again... it wasn't worth the time. They joined us at Soho later that evening, then Eric took us to an Indonesian restaurant =9 Ahh, the joy! I missed Indonesian food so much, I ate like a pig ^^;
I'm too sleepy to continue so I'd leave the story here and continue tomorrow. Gomen nasai. I have a midterm exam tomorrow (err, today ^^;) so I have to sleep now. Good night!
