I wanted to post yesterday (Thursday night), but blogger was down >_>
Yesterday was a long day indeed. Out of no specific reason, I was very tired (I still am, although not as much) -- the kind of fatigue you experience when you don't sleep for 2 or more days. I don't understand why, because I had 5 hours of sleep the night before. However, I had to wake up at 8 AM due to morning exam... and didn't sleep until 3 AM last night. I was sleepy and weary the whole day that I was afraid I would've passed out whenever I closed my eyes.
For all that is worth staying up last night, I never have any regrets.
Les Miserables (performed by the
Third National Tour) is
perfect. I couldn't find a better word to describe their outstanding performance. Everything is extraordinarily perfect. The actors/actresses, the voice, the songs, the orchestra, the outfits, the lighting, the effects,.... everything *_* Even when Javert commits suicide by throwing himself from the bridge into the River Seine, the scene of him drowning deeper & deeper is so real... as if River Seine was there on the stage. That is what I love about musical play. Not only it is hard to perform -- because they have to sing, act, and sometimes dance at the same time (and of course they have to remember the whole play words by words and tones by tones, because there is no scene taking & retaking), but also they make the best performance & effect out of the limited space of the stage. What always struck me even more is how they tell the story not by speaking, but by singing. Trying to remember all the words for a character of a drama from beginning to end is difficult enough. I can't imagine how they manage to remember the exact tone of each word for the whole play. >_< I'm always into appreciation, and I really appreciate musical play so much. They make a difference in the world. Now now, I'm exaggerating, aren't I? *grins*
My shopping spree doesn't seem to end >_< After beauty products, pants, gloves, coats, skirts, dresses, hats, shoes, and handbags, I'm now into vintage : vintage dresses, vintage coats, and vintage bags. What is the matter with me? O_O;; Even though I mostly only browse around without purchasing, I must stop this insanity or I will be broke before I even know it! And I'm going to NYC next week, too! Wahhh ;_; I wish I had a job, then I didn't have to worry about money -- at least not this much.
Speaking about NYC, I have finally found a nice hotel to stay with Kara :D It's
Cosmopolitan hotel at Tribeca (stands for Triangle Below Canal, in case you don't know. Canal refers to Canal Street) -- a very convenient location. It's close to Soho, Chinatown, Greenwich Village, Battery Park, and Little Italy. YAY XD Oh, and I'm going to see a Broadway show, too ^^ I haven't decided yet, perhaps Fosse or Beauty and the Beast. We'll see.
