Serena, you have a piano exam? Reminds me of my piano lesson years back then (from the age of 6 or 7 until 12 or 13. Postponed for about two years, then continued again from the age of 14 or 15 until 17), but I'll tell the story some other time =P Good luck, ne? And make sure you have a strategy to face your Dad if by any chance you fail (I sure hope not), so that he won't get rid of you computer. That would be suck so bad if it ever happened -_-
Now, let's see if I could gather my thoughts together again about the lost entry.
And it was such a longgg entry, above all *sobs*
It has happened to me 3 times now and stupid me, I *never* learned! :_:
I agree with
Diana and
Margot about
Sasuga's slow service. I've subscribed to Ribon and Asuka since August this year, but I haven't received the January issues while some people have gotten theirs by now.
Wahh.. people have issued christmas/holiday layout! Time to change mine, I suppose ^^; This layout has been here for such a long time. During the time this layout stays here, Alexa has changed her blog's layouts 4 or 5 times XD Hopefully I'll be able to do it tonight.
Diana, that's one truly handsome picture of Jude on your blog *_* I'm beginning to like Jude now ^_~ That reminds me.. I forgot to buy December's Vanity Fair!! Wahhh :_: I was reading it when I had my hair cut back in LA 2 weeks ago, and reminded myself to buy one when I got back. But I was simply too lazy to buy one at the Pittsburgh Int'l Airport on my way back since my carry-on bag was full already. I forgot altogether ._. It has several stuff I wanted to read, in addition to Jude Law's article. I wonder if it's possible to order back issues....
I like
Margot's new blog title: Turbonium. I have always loved the new beetle and wished I would be able to have one someday, just for cuteness sake ^^; By the way, Margot, I'm not sure whether you read this, but I just realized that you're only 14 years old! I thought you were around 18-20 years old >_<
Alexa, nice christmas layout in your blog! I like the texts effect you added to them, especially on Kero-chan and Suppi-chan XD And Syaoran wanting a thong is an amusing idea *lol* Like Val said, that would need a bit of Photoshop editing ^^;; Ah, NKOTB.. I used to love them =P When I was in junior high, that is. Remember seeing a whole bunch of NKOTB christmas mp3s on my harddisk, Alexa? Well, they're still there ^_~ I haven't deleted them yet. Since christmas is coming, I'm going to burn them to a CD so that I can listen to them during my holiday. I actually have the cassette, but it's been years and I might've lost it anyway.
Speaking about burning to a CD, I really need a CD reader/writer as soon as possible. I want to burn some of my MP3s and listen to them when in Indonesia. Oh, I just remember... final week is next week *gasps* Wahhhh >_< I'm not really ready yet ^^; But I'm going home after that.. yayyy.. it's less than 2 weeks away :D
Ne everyone, when's your final coming? The final week at my university is considered okay (not too early, not too late), but the beginning of each semester is considered very early -_- The first day of classes next Spring 2001 is going to be Jan 8th. That means I only have 3 weeks holiday, while most colleges have at least a month winter holiday. Ah well, it doesn't matter. I'm going to skip the first week of classes next semester :O I'll go back to USA on Jan 14th *naughty* :D
Back to the NKOTB issue. Whenever I see or hear Britney Spears, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, etc, I remember myself having liked NKOTB, Tommy Page *hears the crowd gasping* =P, Color Me Badd, and several more pop artists back then that I don't remember now. So I keep telling myself not to dislike the current pop artists so much. Actually I sometimes can like their music, although not many. Boyzone is one of the most decent ones from the current pop artists from that category (you know, like boys band, etc). Their song, Shooting Star, happens to be a favorite of mine, especially the lyric.
Perhaps I am today is the same as college students or graduates (who are about 10 years older than me) back then when I was in junior high school. Although they might have liked NKOTB et al., there aren't many 25 or 30 year-olds who like Britney Spears or N'Sync, ne? Or are there many? ^_^x
In any case, as people grow up, their music preferences (to name one, above various things) also develop or shift. But hey, one doesn't have to necessarily change all of their taste. I mean, it's perfectly human for a 25 year-old to like something that should be liked by a 15 year-old. Like they all said: "one will always have a child's side on one's mind". The same also goes for adults, seniors, basically everyone. As for me, I believe all of you can guess fairly easily, my obvious child's side is, of course, anime XD
That's why my parents always say "Stop reading those comics and work on something useful for once!" or "You've wasted a lot of money buying those useless comics" ^^;;; Especially whenever I go back to Indonesia.. I always hear that remark at least once. But manga is so cheap back there. One manga only costs Rp.7500 ($1 = Rp.9500), it's not even 1 US dollar! Of course, the quality of the paper is not good at all *shakes head* And they censor everything, even the slightest kiss or a bit perverted thought -_- It's annoying, I tell you.
Sometimes I wish I had my own salary so that I could buy manga/anime as much as I wanted to ^^v But then I think again, by the time I have my own salary, it would be a bit too late. I might've missed a lot of good manga/anime, because it was out of print, for example. After all, I started reading manga since I was 13 years old. A lot of old manga at that time are now out of print. I've checked some of my favorites on a couple of Japanese bookstores online. So, I never regret for knowing manga in such a young age ^^ After all, manga has filled my teenage life =D
There.. *phew* I'm still able to remember the main points. Now I really have to start studying. I was only skimming and I don't memorize anything >_< Wish me luck :_:
