Well, I'm back... -_-
I don't know whether I should be happy or sad. Neither, I guess. I'm not happy to be back (of course, with all these assignments waiting to be done -_-), but I'm kind of relieved to be back & feel at home, if you know what I mean ^^; Uh, perhaps you don't, stupid me >_< Anyhow.. ^^; I arrived 8 hours ago. My friend picked me up at the airport (thanks to Edgar & Ica). It's freezinggggg *is shivering* I hate this weather *sobs* I want to move to California asap :_:
Let's do some flashback...
Thanksgiving evening: Thursday, Nov 23rdAfter I had lunch, I went to Kinokuniya *again* with Bayu to check out some books that I didn't have time to see the day before =P I ended up buying Japanese conversation guides and some stationery. Then we went back home, had some snacks (I sure ate a lot today =P), and went out again to
Edwards Cinema at
Irvine Spectrum Center (or simply Spectrum). We watched 2 movies consecutively. I watched the
Bounce for the first one with Bayu, his younger brother Adit & a girl (Adit's friend). Bayu's older brother, Eka, watched
Meet The Parents with his girlfriend and her brother. Bounce wasn't as romantic as I had thought before, from seeing the preview. But it wasn't that bad... especially since I like
Ben Affleck ^_~
Sidenote: I love
The Internet Movie Database *_* You can find everything movie-related there! Oh, I also love big cinemas like Edwards Cinema. The screen is wonderfully big, the chair is big and comfortable, and everything is clean, including the toilet.
The second movie I watched was
Unbreakable. It wasn't as good as what I had expected from the preview -_- The movie was slow & not very impressively done. I had been expecting a deeper & more complicated storyline & conclusion, but it came out as being centered around comic books, which wasn't as deep as I had thought. I was jumpy all the time, especially since the music was thrilling. But it wasn't exactly a thriller movie, nor a suspense one. It was just... surprising. That's all the impression I got after I went out of the theater. By the way, the theater in which I saw Unbreakable is enormous. The screen is huge and the inside is wide & spacious. Just like an IMAX theater. I think it's the biggest theater in the cinema.
We went home after that.. then watched
Friends,
Just Shoot Me and
Will & Grace that had been recorded when we went to the cinema :D After all, I didn't want to miss those sitcoms ^_~
Black Friday, Nov 24thNothing much... I went back home today. Almost late for the flight to Pittsburgh. Despite not having celebrated Thanksgiving, I however ended up having turkey for late lunch on the plane =9 It was pretty good, considering it being flight meal. I had to borrow a small travelling bag for my books =P Yes, I shopped quite a lot. After all, I got such a nice bargain, so I couldn't have missed it ^^ I bought 4 different scents of purely silk body splash from Bath & Body Works at
Pittsburgh International Airport. It's the best body splash for all seasons, because it's not as heavily moisturized as body lotion, but still leaves the skin smooth & not dry at all. When I arrived at my apartment, the room temperature was 58 F (14 C) *_* I turned on the heater right away and left it on all night. Gah, I hate this weather. That's one thing that I always miss from California... the nice weather *sighs*
And now.... I have to sleep ~_~ I'm a bit jet-lagged though. Oyasumi nasai...
