LA time: 3.14 PMHappy Thanksgiving! ^^
I don't celebrate Thanksgiving though... so we won't eat turkey.
Anyhow, I went everywhere yesterday... I'm still tired *yawns* I dropped my Samsonite bag to have it fixed, had a haircut at Jose Eber, shopped at
Kinokuniya for almost 2 hours XD Then waited for my friend & his brother shopping at
Container Store... and going home afterwards. Later that night, I met my junior high friend, Shirley, whom I hadn't met for 3 years (although we're both in USA ^^;), who came with her boyfriend. We had late dinner at The Boat restaurant (Thai). I also met another friend, Sandra, who came with her husband and daughter. Obviously, she's older than me. Five years older, to be exact. She's my "travel agent" (she works at a travel agency), I usually buy plane tickets from her. The most important reason for meeting her is to get my SQ ticket (for this December to Indonesia) from her. They didn't eat cause it was around 11 pm and past the time for their daughter to sleep (she's only 19 months). As always, I ate like a pig =P The food is great, but Boston's Siam Cuisine is still better ^_~
It was around 1am when we got out of the restaurant and went inside Life Plaza, a big Japanese store in the area. They have cute stationery like Tarepanda & Sanrio, CDs, cafe, comic library (Chinese-translated), and many more. I drooled over the comics with Shirley and talked about all the comics we recognized from the time we were in junior high =P I bet the guys were bored waiting for us *laughs* I didn't know until yesterday: Chinese-translated comics are very good in quality *_* They make the cover & color & everything exactly the same as the original Japanese comics. The only exceptions are the title (they change it to Chinese --> equal Japanese kanji), and of course the translations ^^;; All in all, it's very good, unlike Indonesian-translated comics -_- I wish I could read Chinese *_* Oh well, I'll just study Japanese since it's a lot easier :D
The store closed at 2 am, so we went home parting with Shirley. I forgot what time I crashed bed... perhaps around 6 or 7 am. I woke up at 2 pm. The people outside are having BBQ! I'm going to eat *stomach growls* There are big sausages, steak, chicken wings, and some deserts =9 We're going to the cinema tonight.. Spend Thanksgiving day watching movies ^^ Until then *waves*
